About Renee Kory, Principal

Welcome to Kyrene Aprende Middle School!  I am honored and excited to begin my 11th year as proud principal of Aprende and look very forward to continuing to work with this amazing team and community.

We are grateful to continue the prestigious and highly acclaimed designation of an AVID National Demonstration School, where we not only employ AVID strategies schoolwide with fidelity, but also serve as a model for other schools and districts.  Educators visit our campus to see AVID in action and learn how they can also integrate AVID at their sites with a high level of success.  We are excited to continue our innovative teaming model in all grade levels this school year and also offer families and students a traditional model as well.  Last year, Aprende achieved it's 4th consecutive A+ designation from the Arizona Educational Foundation, the most of any middle schools in AZ!  Finally, this year, Aprende was the first school in AZ to receive the prestigious national award, the National Forum Schools to Watch Award, given to the top middle schools in the nation.  

I feel so fortunate to play a role in leading students, teachers, and parents through the middle school journey here at Kyrene Aprende Middle School.
