Intramurals

School Year 2025-26

This is an opportunity to learn and develop individual and team skills for basketball and flag football in a non-competitive setting, while representing your middle school.
Practice days and times will be assigned by coaches once coaches have been selected. Teams will meet three (3) times per week for practices and scrimmages.
Practices and scrimmages will be held in school gymnasium or field, beginning the week of October 27th.
Scrimmages will be held on Wednesdays, a schedule will be released once teams are finalized.
Based on student interest, each school may offer intramural teams in volleyball, flag football, and basketball. These teams will practice 2 times per week and eventually scrimmage against other schools once a week. Scrimmages will typically be played on Wednesdays. The purpose is to develop student skill, experience team unity, provide opportunities in which to compete; ultimately preparing them for Kyrene Athletics along with high school.

Season Fee: $110.00
Team size: 12-15 per team (Enrollment is limited and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.)
Schedule will be determined by amount of teams
Practices
- 2 times per week, coaches determine days and times
- Parents provide transportation
Scrimmages
- Time: 5pm - 6pm, dependent on number of teams
- Coaches will referee
- Parents provide transportation
